Mary Kate + Robin: Hood Canal, Washington

October 26, 2015

10/10/15

Mary Kate and Robin were married earlier this month with their closest friends and family on a perfectly rainy and romantic day here in the Pacific North West. Everyone gathered for the weekend at the Alderbrook Resort and Spa on the Hood Canal in Washington. You always hear that on rainy wedding days the clouds break open and sunshine pours down just in time for the ceremony. This was not the case for MK and Robin. Instead while they were in the middle of saying their vows and about to exchange rings THEY GOT A FREAKING RAINBOW. (scroll down for proof) If rain is good luck on your wedding day, a rainbow showing up during your vows has to be next level stuff. It was incredible. The rain did stop after that and gave us a chance to take some portraits on the resorts dock. Normally you have mountain views across the canal, but I think the moody clouds were more romantic. The rest of the evening was filled with delicious food, emotional speeches and dancing the night away. There was such a lovely energy in the air all day and night. You can tell this is a couple that not only loves and respects one another immensely, but holds a high place in the hearts of everyone in their lives. Congrats again MK and Robin!! Your wedding was perfect, I was honored to be there, and I can’t wait to hear about your honeymoon in Morocco!
